unhealthy communication patterns

Have you lost connection with your partner?

Maybe a big “blow-up” or betrayal has happened, or perhaps it is getting harder and harder to bond with your partner. You may be feeling like your relationship is about to end or will never recover from attachment injuries, or simply doubting if it is worth to continue fighting. Perhaps you are feeling lonely within your relationship.

Whatever it is that you’re experiencing, you’re beginning to notice the impact of this in every facet of your life:

  • Struggling with daily activities at home.

  • Struggling to concentrate at home or in pleasurable activities.

  • Struggling with intimacy with partner.

  • Struggling to trust others and yourself.

Couples therapy can help. It may feel impossible now, but your relationship can heal. You can feel confident and strong in your relationship again. And I can help you get there.

How therapy works.

(Therapy in English and Spanish)

Couples Therapy helps you:

  • Identify unhealthy interactional patterns and cycles and replace them with healthy communication and problem resolution skills.

  • Intentionally and meaningfully use repair attempts when attachment injuries have been created.

  • Practice empathy and understanding with your partner.

  • Identify your love language, and understand and speak your partners’ as well.

  • Use past trauma as a strength and learning experience.

Couples Therapy.

I’ll help you through this process, tailoring each step to your unique needs and circumstances as a couple. My approach to couples therapy comes from a place of non-judgment and hope: believing that neither you nor your partner are the “problem,” but that it’s simply the cycle you’re in that needs an adjustment.
